Mapaputsi was one of the originators of the kwaito sound, along with the likes of Zola 7, TKZEE, and Chiskop among many others. He is best known for his 2001 album ‘Izinja’, which won him the Best Kwaito Artist and Best Kwaito Song at the Metro FM Awards in 2002.

Where is Mapaputsi now?
Most know him as the Izinja’ hitmaker, but at the moment faded Kwaito star Mapaputsi is now allegedly a chef at Kalawa Jazmee headquarters in Johannesburg, and is said to be grateful for the chance to at least do something with his life, and not end up doing nothing.
